"The Two's" Program (age 2)

This program is designed for those children who are two years old and need support with bathroom training. The program is 5 days a week (8:45am - 12:00pm) and follows our 11 month school calendar. Children who are completely potty trained, may be eligible for our primary program and schedule options.

Primary Program (ages 3-6)

This program is for children who are 3 - 6 years old (some older potty-trained 2's are admitted). Children must be completely potty-trained. The class is 5 mornings per week and follows our 11 month school calendar.

 

Parents may choose to enroll their child in our Half-Day Primary Program (8:45am - 12:00pm) or Full-Day Primary Program (8:45am - 3:00pm).

Elementary Program (ages 6-9)

This program is for children at the lower elementary level. Students must have previous Montessori experience. This program is 5 days per week (8:45am - 3:00pm) and follows our 11 month school calendar.

Recognizing the child's delight in the option of challenging activities after school, and community need for quality physical care before and after school, The Primary Montessori Day School provides extended hours of operation.

 

Early Bird Program

 

This program is designed for those children who need quality physical care before the regular school day begins. This program is 5 mornings per week (7:30am - 9:00am) and follows our 11 month school calendar. Children are provided with activities and morning snack during their early-bird morning.

 

Extended-Day Program

 

This program is designed for those children who need quality physical care after the regular school day ends. This program is 5 days per week and follows our 11 month school calendar and runs from 3:00pm - 6:00pm. Children are provided with activities, afternoon snack, games, projects, and other fun during the extended day.

 

Hourly or "drop-in" extended-day care is avilable per request at an hourly rate. Please contact office for details.

Summer Program

This program is designed for those children who would like to continue their montessori education during our summer break (July/August). Children participate in Montessori academics in the morning and art, group games, water-play, and other summer fun in the afternoon. Please contact the school for further information - as summer session dates vary per year. The summer program is traditionally 4 weeks long - broken up into 2 week sessions.

Alexander Graham Bell (deceased), noted inventor, provided financial support directly to Dr. Montessori. Helped establish the first Montessori class in Canada and one of the first in the United States.
